Accessibility & Inclusion Statement
Updated: November 2021
General
At Blossom Montessori, we strive to make sure our school is accessible to everyone. We are focused on building stronger communities and ensuring access to opportunity regardless of race, color, faith, national origin, ethnic origin, and ability. We take the following measures to ensure accessibility of Blossom Montessori:
Include diversity, inclusion, and equity as part of our mission statement.
Provide continual training for our staff.
Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.
Accessibility on Our Website
We have made available an accessibility widget. The software allows our website to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).*
The menu can be enabled either by hitting the tab key when the page first loads or by clicking the accessibility menu icon that appears on the corner of the page. After triggering the accessibility menu, please wait a moment for the accessibility menu to load in its entirety.
Although our goal is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, we have also applied some Level AAA Success Criteria: Images of text are only used for decorative purposes. Web pages do not contain anything that flashes more than three times in any one second period. Section headings are used to organize the content.

*The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Our website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
We continue our efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of our online content with the belief that it is our collective moral obligation to allow seamless, accessible, and unhindered use for all.
In an ongoing effort to continually improve and remediate accessibility issues, we also regularly scan our website with an accessibility scanner to identify and fix every possible accessibility barrier on our site.
Despite our efforts to make all pages and content on our website fully accessible, some content has yet to be fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. We are in the process of finding and identifying the most appropriate solutions for our small business. The barriers are not lost on us and remedies for these parts of our content will be applied in the future. It is important for us to be mindful of the neurodivergent and disabled in our community.
