Health & Safety
Blossom maintains routines and procedures in our classrooms to protect one another and our community. The well-being of Blossom and our northeast Los Angeles neighbors is important to us.
Blossom looks to Los Angeles County Public Health Department and follows the guidance of the CDC. All friends of the Blossom community have a shared responsibility to prevent the spread of illness. Please review our Sick Policy below.
Procedures:
-
We conduct daily wellness checks at arrival for each child and monitor them throughout the day. Parents are notified when a child is feeling unwell and has an elevated temperature or a fever. We wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds — especially after using the bathroom, blowing noses, coughing, or sneezing. We also prompt hand washing during arrival and before eating.
-
Daily cleaning protocols and practices will strictly follow the Centers for Disease Control guidelines and policies using EPA-approved products. All areas of campus, especially high-contact surfaces, are being cleaned throughout the day as well as disinfected or sanitized at the end of the day.
